The last episode of the season is almost here. And, wow what a ride it's been. Everyone wanted Sookie and Eric to hook-up but I'm unsure what we expected of Eric. He is only the second man Sookie has been with and I don't know that we all thought it was up to par. The shower scene sure wasn't what we expected.
The first episode of their lovemaking was in a swampy forest on some mossy ground after which he seemed to fly them into her foyer—in position, mind you, and then up to her room. Can you say "calamine lotion" for the icky bites you would get having sex, nekkid on the floor of the anywhere outside in the backwoods of Louisiana? Granted it was probably in a studio and not outside but suspension of disbelief equals belief in the created world and that has bugs.
And, Bill can behave like a man from the 19th century: you know the Victorian-Close-your-eyes-and -think-of-England-Period (They had filthy minds actually; some day we can discuss Victorian Erotica). But, if we look at his promise to always protect Sookie and to destroy anyone who knows she is fae we see that most of his behavior (except bonking Katya and Portia) has been Sookie-centric. In order to protect her, he continues to lie about Sookie's abilities and he changes his decisions when she is in danger.
