I enjoy Olivia Cunning's Erotica. Simply put: It will curl your toes.
That being said I found this series, which I consumed with the voraciousness of a newly found cast away at a buffet, just a little uneven but still each is filled with great story. The strongest story for me was TRY ME. In this novella, Melanie and Gabe meet and both have insecurities and flaws that Olivia highlights beautifully. When they first meet and she doesn't know who he is, and it's just casual they are fine. But once they are en route to hooking up they both do a bit of posturing.
In TEMPT ME, Adam and Madison share a fiery affair whenever he is in town. He's afraid of commitment and she is sure to be hurt. One thing I really liked in this book was Adam wanting to determine how he could best please and excite Madison while they were making love. Also, they are both so vulnerable that fear of intimacy drives them to hard, rough sex. I do have to say that while Madison seems like a very compassionate character, she doesn't seem like the brightest bulb in the box.
In TAKE ME we find the difference between the rockstar in bed and the guy you have known since forever in bed. I don't think I would like "Shade" in the bedroom, but Jacob might be interesting (if I weren't happily married for thirty years).
Tension in couples, tension between band mates, tension in one's self. Cunning explores them all in a wrapping of modern erotic fabric at once rough and soft and smooth. Such is the paradox of love.
Whenever I read Olivia's books I think of the Journey song, Faithfully - "Loving a music man ain't always what it's supposed to be." Journey Video And, I feel that these stories and Olivia's Sinners on Tour series bring what that song, and others, are all about.
This would have been one great book if combined, but except for the most recently released, TAKE ME, they could stand alone. TAKE ME has some backstory that occurs in the earlier novellas in the series.

TOUCH ME, the next book in the series, will be out early in 2013.
OLIVIA has consented to be a guest at Readaholics Anonymous' and my VALENTINE EVENT FOOLS FOR LUV! I am "jazzed" that she's on the LUV TRAIN!

He is one man she has always desired…
Amanda Lange knows all about Shade’s naughty reputation, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting to dive into the gorgeous rock star’s arms and his bed. She convinces herself that one night of passion won’t complicate their friendship, but can she convince him of that?
They’re both playing with fire.
Neither of them realized how far one kiss would take them. For the five sexy rock gods of Sole Regret, finding love is easy, keeping it is hard.
One more night…
For almost a year, Madison has been Adam’s hook-up every time his band, Sole Regret, tours through Dallas. But in spite of the way he sets her body ablaze with passion, the occasional night of rock-her-world sex isn’t enough anymore. She needs a commitment and knows that won’t fit into Adam’s rock-star lifestyle. Madison will take one more hot-and-heavy night with the sexy musician before she cuts all ties with him for good. Even if she must break her own heart to do it.
To tempt him…
Life isn’t all bright lights and fan adulation for the lead guitarist for Sole Regret. Madison has seen Adam at his worst and still managed to bring out the best in him. Her cleverly concealed naughty side also brings out the beast in him. He’s never met a more tempting woman in his life.
Madison has no problem tempting Adam into her bed, but can she tempt his heart into taking a chance on love?
Tempt Me is the second novella in Olivia Cunning’s Sole Regret series. This 39,000 word erotic romance novella contains explicit sexual situations, including some rough backdoor lovin’, hair-pulling, spanking, and whole lotta dirty talk. Amazon TEMPT ME page

For the five sexy rock gods of Sole Regret, finding love is easy, keeping it is hard.
Melanie has no desire to meet the members of the rock band, Sole Regret, but her groupie of a best friend gets them both backstage and then rushes off with the band’s lead singer. Left alone at an after party with a bunch of scary tattooed and pierced metal-heads, sheltered Melanie is relieved when the only normal-looking guy in the room insists on keeping her company.

By the time Melanie discovers that Gabe is the band’s drummer and not as normal as she assumed, she has already made a complete fool of herself. She can’t help but be interested in him, not as a rock star, but as the sexiest man she’s ever encountered. Strangely attracted to his hidden tattoos and body piercing, she wonders what it would be like to spend a night with a bad boy.
Gabe is more than willing to show sweet Melanie there’s more to him than meets the eye. All she has to do is try him. Will they only share a single night of passion? Or will their hearts entangle as quickly as their bodies?
