Absence makes the heart grow fonder . . . and the passion burn hotter!

No one ever said long-distance love was easy, and after being apart for two years, Edie and Ty are more than ready for some time together—especially on Valentine's Day. Now counting down the hours until their passionate reunion, they're keeping each other company with steamy letters describing just how much they've missed one another . . . and not leaving out any of the scorching details. As their erotic journeys come to a scintillating conclusion, both Edie and Ty are about to discover that getting there is half the fun . . . Harper Collins

My Take

I really enjoyed this short story with its very clever interludes in other stories one Edie makes up for Ty as they "suffer" through the last few days of being a long-distance relationship and take the leap into being together.

I really wasn't sure which way the story would go. There are plenty of chances for either party to back out or for something bad to occur. You can really feel how much they want to be together. And, it's a Valentine's story so you know there's going to be a happy ending.

Scan of a Valentine greeting card circa 1920.
Great character development: Edie came much more palpably alive for me than Ty, but he was pretty fleshed out for a short tale.  The pace was great and the little stories Edie writes throughout are pretty great. And it's proof that short form erotica does not have to be in the first person!

Good, hot intimate moments, well hours really, before and after they do get together. Yes, I said "before."

I highly recommend this Megan Hart piece for mature audiences. It's not long but the quality of writing makes it worth the money.
